About BËTR
We’re the people you want in the back of the room.
BËTR is an audio, video, and lighting company that got tired of clunky tools — so we built our own. Today we run live events end to end, on software we made ourselves, with a crew that’s done this for decades. You hire us; the tech comes with.
What we’re made of
Three things, done obsessively.
Software
The apps that run your room and wrangle your decks — built by us, used by us, on real show floors. We obsess over the details no one else thinks about.
Hardware
Broadcast-grade audio, video, and lighting, plus the Macs and control surfaces that drive the room — set up by the people who own it.
People
Decades of “we’ve seen that before.” The crew in the back of the room is the whole point: calm hands, no drama.
Who you’ll actually work with
Founders who still show up to the gig.
Josh Perlman
Founder & CEO
Joshua Perlman is a senior executive with two decades of event industry experience. He is known for working on some of the largest and most technically challenging events that happen. He is also a product visionary who has spearheaded the launch of several successful products such as StageJack, Sx3, and Digital Oasis.
Jason Mullaney
Founder & CEO
Jason Mullaney has over 25 years of sales and operational leadership experience, including multiple executive leadership positions. Beyond sales, he’s been on both sides of the curtain as a client advocate, video technician, project manager, technical director, and more. That experience allows him to make very technical things easy to understand and breaks down big ideas into a plan of action.
David “Duck” Burns
Founder & CPO
David “Duck” Burns is a successful Technical Director. David has over 40 years of event industry experience. He has overseen and managed all types of events from corporate, to concert and touring, to entertainment.
How it goes
Three steps. No mystery.
Kick off
We get on a call and you tell us about your event — rooms, days, the parts you’re worried about.
Map the plan
We build you a Show Plan: exactly what we’re running, where, and who’s on it. You approve it. No surprises on site.
Show up and execute
We load in, rehearse, and run it. You watch your event go right.
Let’s meet on your next show.
Six months out or secretly panicking with two weeks to go — no judgment. We’ll build you a plan. (It’s a team you hire, not a subscription.)
